The Santiago School of Physics 2026 organized by the Physics Department-FCFM of Universidad de Chile is oriented to Latino-American and Chilean students of physics and related areas in their last year of undergraduate studies or in a master program. It aims to present an updated view and recent advances in a diverse selection of areas of physics.

4) "The Observable Universe: A Guide to Modern Cosmology," Claudia Scóccola and Domenico Sapone
5) "Introduction to the Physics of Amorphous Materials," Fernando Lund
6) "A Condensed Matter Approach to Measurement in Quantum Mechanics," Álvaro Núñez
7) "Characterization of Solid Surfaces," Victor Fuenzalida and Marcos Flores
8) "Statistical Mechanics of Fields," Rodrigo Soto
9) "Information Thermodynamics in Open Quantum Systems,” Felipe Barra

Application procedure and economic help
There is no fee. Travel, housing and feeding grants available in certain instances. (Further information will be announced in the following weeks) You can apply on the web site, where you will find a form to fill out. (Full name, ID or Passport number, date of birth, nationality, home university, curriculum vitae, academic degree if available, academic performance, recomendation letter, Grade Point Average).
The applications will be available until May 10 2026

June: Publication of results.
